What is Baby Suppers™?

Baby Suppers™ is a new concept that promotes making your baby’s own food right from his or her very first bites. It is designed to teach parents of infants, through group classes or personal instruction, how to create nutrition-packed meals, using fresh, organic ingredients. Baby Suppers™ goal is to expand your baby’s palate by providing him or her with the authentic taste of food, made by you.

The Baby Suppers™ Story

I knew that I was onto something when my daughter Ashley winced at her first taste of sugar—her birthday cake at age two. It’s no secret that children are “hardwired” to adore sugar, but, based on my experience, I think that it’s possible to predispose your child to enjoy savory tastes as well as sweet ones.

When I became a mom, I started right away to make my baby’s food the way I make my own, from all natural, whole ingredients. I became passionate about filling her with nutritious, fresh and delicious, organic foods. And I knew that she couldn’t get the real taste of real food from jarred baby foods.  The jarred food that I’d be spooning into that little mouth very likely was processed before my baby was born, or perhaps even conceived.

I wanted my baby to enjoy eating as much as I do. And she did. I’m convinced that her diet and my continually expanding her palate are the reasons why, at age three, she was devouring bowls of steamed mussels; snacking on gorgonzola cheese; and acquiring a fondness for many foods that some adults won’t even try. Today, she is a very healthy ten year old who has never caught the dreaded picky-eater syndrome.
